Brimonidine, an ingredient in BRIMO EYE DROPS, is a member of the class of drugs known as ophthalmic anti-glaucoma agents. Glaucoma and ocular hypertension are the conditions it treats. Increased pressure inside the eye without any discernible harm to the optic nerve is referred to as ocular hypertension. On the other hand, glaucoma is a collection of eye conditions that, if left untreated, result in vision loss and serious damage to the optic nerve because of increased intraocular pressure.
